Season and Weather at Yercaud

The most popular seasons are February to June and September to November, while late November and December tend to be cold and misty. Around April there are the pleasant showers, which bring the coffee bushes into blossom. The monsoon season (June to August) is not the best time to visit as it rains heavily, hampering movement. October to May and Throughout the year as the place enjoys a pleasant climate.

Yercaud has a moderate climate. Winters in Yercaud are fairly mild, which start in the month of September and ends in December. During winter, the nearby hills are covered by mist and look so beautiful. At Yercaud, the coffee bushes blossom in April and present a spectacular view to the visitors.

While Yercaud, like most other hill stations, enjoys cool summers, the winters here are not freezing cold - so you can enjoy your stay at any time of the year. The maximum temperature is around 30'C and the minimum is around 13'C. While winters aren't too cold, they are picture perfect, with mist surrounding the area and giving it an ethereal feel.

Cotton clothes during summer and an extra pullover or light woolen sweater during winter is recommended. The area also gets its share of rainfall during the monsoons between July and August, with 150 to 200 cm of rainfall across the year.
